| Why I Became an NDIS Plan Manager When we received her first plan, I quickly realised something important. The supports were life-changing, but the system itself was complex. There were price limits, service agreements, budget categories, invoices that had to meet strict requirements, and funding rules that were not always easy to interpret. I could see how confusing this would be for families already carrying so much responsibility. |
With my background in financial management and compliance, I understood how important it was that funding be handled correctly. The NDIS is an incredible opportunity, but it only works well when the administrative side is managed carefully and transparently.
As I connected with other parents, I saw a pattern. Many families were anxious about their budgets. Some were unsure whether providers were charging correctly. Others simply did not have the time or emotional capacity to navigate the financial side while supporting their child’s needs.
That was the turning point for me.
I realised I could combine my professional skills with my lived experience as a parent. I understood the emotional side of the journey, and I understood the structure and compliance framework of the NDIS.
Becoming a Plan Manager was not just a business decision. It was a decision to support other families with clarity, integrity, and care.
Today, when I manage a participant’s plan, I see more than numbers. I see therapy sessions building confidence, supports creating independence, and families planning for a more secure future.
I became an NDIS Plan Manager because I have walked this path myself. And I know how powerful the right support can be.
